Hola, siamo
Sole, Lingam e il piccolo Suami nato nel 2015. Dal 2014 ci siamo
stabiliti a Verbicaro (CS), comprando e ristrutturando una casetta
nel centro storico semi abbandonato. Dopo aver viaggiato facendo
qualche esperienza comunitaria in Calabria, siamo tornati ed abbiamo
acquistato una terra di 3,5 ha a circa 300 m di altitudine con vista
mare, uliveto, frutteto, sorgenti e 2 strutture da recuperare.
Subito abbiamo
pensato di condividere lo spazio con altre famiglie per portare
avanti un progetto di scuola familiare, crescita insieme ed
autosufficienza. Abbiamo anche nel cassetto un progetto di
ripopolamento del centro storico per creare una comunità diffusa di
persone consapevoli.
Attualmente
stiamo vivendo in camper facendo rifornimenti settimanali di acqua,
stiamo avviando un grande orto e migliorando l'accumulo di acqua
sorgiva in 2 vasche di raccolta (cibbie) già esistenti ma piene di
terra. La zona pianeggiante e con dolci pendenze è stata ripulita da
rovi e sterpaglie con la trincia, ma restano altre aree da
riconquistare.
Per rendere il
luogo più accogliente abbiamo intenzione di realizzare una piccola
cucina esterna, un punto lavaggio, una doccia ed una compost toilet,
e per fare questo ci piacerebbe avere il supporto di persone
interessate al progetto, i pionieri. Al momento possiamo ospitare chi
abbia camper, roulotte o tenda, sia molto adattabile a situazioni con
poca acqua e pronto ad impugnare la zappa anche nel momento del
“bisogno”.
Il progetto
evolve con la costruzione di una scuolina con annessa cucinare
compost toilet e di una struttura circolare dedicata alle attività
comunitarie spirituali e ricreative. Quando 2-3 famiglie avranno
deciso di stabilirsi si fonderà un'associazione che gestirà la
parte comune della terra in comodato d'uso gratuito e si prenderanno
accordi riguardo alle aree private in cui sorgeranno le abitazioni di
ciascun nucleo. Tutte le costruzioni saranno in bioedilizia, piccole
ed in armonia col paesaggio.
Ci piacerebbe
che nella comunità si seguisse un'alimentazione vegana (o
vegetariana) e che si evitasse (o limitasse) l'uso di droghe,
compresi alcool e tabacco.
Affinché la
comunità sia forte e pronta a superare le difficoltà della vita
insieme, è fondamentale riunirsi settimanalmente per cerchi
organizzativi, emozionali e della visione.
Siamo a 4-5 km
dal paese su una strada secondaria a 2 km da quella principale dove
si trova la fermata dell'autobus, 15 km da Scalea e Diamante.

Hi,
we're Sole, Lingam and the little Suami born in 2015. Since 2014 we
moved to Verbicaro (Cosenza, Calabria), buying for few money and
restructuring a little house in the almost abandoned historical
center. After two years traveling and experiencing community life in
Calabria, we came back home and bought a 3.5 hectares land, about 300
meters altitude, with a great sea view on the tirrenic coast, olive
trees, fruit trees, water springs and two buildings that need to be
restructured.
Immediately
we thought to share this place with other families carrying on a life
project about homeschooling, growing together in awareness and
self-sufficiency. We also projected to repopulate the historical
center in order to create a spread community.
At
the moment we're living in our camper, moving weekly for water
supply, we're starting a big garden to grow our own vegetables and
trying to store more water in the springs because they're full of
soil. The flat and weakly sloped areas have been cleaned from
blackberry bush and other vegetation, but the areas with stronger
slopes still need to be cleaned.
In
order to make the place more comfortable and welcoming we're going to
build a little open kitchen, a washing place, a shower and a
composting toilet. To make all these projects real we need support
from pioneers interested in the project. At the moment we can host
people and families with campers, caravans or tents, very adaptable
to situations with few water and willing to handle the hoe also in a
moment of physiological need.
The
project will evolve in the next years building a school with common
kitchen and composting toilet and a circular structure for spiritual
and recreational common activities. When 2-3 families will decide to
join the project and settle in the place, we will found an
association that will manage the common part of the land and we will
make good agreements about the private areas where the families will
build their own houses. Green building, small dimensions and
landscape integration will be our principles for buildings.
We
would like to found a community that will follow a vegan (or
vegetarian) diet and avoid (or limit) the use of drugs, included
alcohol and tobacco.
In
order to have a strong and resilient community it's very important to
meet weekly for organizational, emotional and vision talking circles.
We
live 4-5 km away from the village on a secondary road 2 km away from
the main one where you can get a ride or a bus, 15 km from Scalea and
Diamante.
